where to go Hokkaido

Well, I recently made my trip to Japan, Hokkaido and actually the scenery and weather is nice on May, however it might be a bit cool so you can't see the flower fields and all those beautiful grass scenery however I was still able to witness the beauty of the cherry blossom tree!

Hokkaido is famous for its milk! The kobe beef is actually(fatty) but it depends on the person eating it, abolone is quite normal and the sulfur egg(Japanese people believe that you would extend your life in 5 years, so basically they cook the eggs in sulfur water!) They have a lot of seafood and their local fast food isn't like mcdonald rather its the sushi place! However they do have mcdonald and kfc however locals would not prefer that since it is well- "western" also a fact is that the kfc there is boneless since local people are always in a hurry so they don't want to eat chicken with bones, that is also the reason as to why in supermarket the chickens are all boneless. The ice cream is also a must try there! There are ice cream shops everywhere you go! The over famous ichiya(not sure of the spelling) has a factory outlet and many wanted to buy ichiya! But i actually prefer Royce chocolate which is relatively quite cheaper than the one sold here in my country. Also you have to try the different flavors of the kit kat chocolate! P.s. Tonkanchi why is a must try!

Such products like the lavender pillow and pikachu is famous in Hokkaido! But what you really have to try when you go to Japan is the hotspring! You don't have to be that shy cause like its normal for everyone there (yes, everyone is naked there) So first you have to change and take off your clothes then go to the hot spring are, take a shower (the shower there is quite different where you have to sit down in a chair and you can see the ones beside you taking a shower cause there are no borders! Then go take a deep in the hotspring (yes, you are taking a deep naked in a 60 degrees water) don't be afraid cause your skin will definitely look better than before! After taking a dip for about 10-15 minutes then you can go shower again and change into a kimono outfit and you are done!

The hotels that I have stayed is actually more of a local would stay so yes I am sleeping in a small room on the floor but its the way the local is used to so might try it as well to understand their culture! There are tea cups and green tea on the room. Oh, i forget to mention that the bathroom is really small because the locals would usually go to hotspring and take a bath there so they really made the bathroom small! Also try learning some Japanese words cause the people in the province don't know how to speak English! So it would be like by hand gesture and all!

In hokkaido you would go to the province for hotspring and sight seeing. It is actually more of a New Zealand feel however once you get into the main city, Sapporo you can shop all you want cause shopping there is like madness! You must try the local Ramen-bar which usually opens at nights and close during the day! The locals favorite is the shiyo base! It is safe in Sapporo because most people there knows how to speak in English!

Photos are to be posted soon!
Godbless and Enjoy your stay in Hokkaido!
